Why Hernandez Signing A New Deal Could Be Moyes' Smartest Move Yet

Give Javier Hernandez the correct delivery and he will score goals, there is no doubt in my mind about that. The Mexican has scored goals wherever he has been over the years and it's been no different at Manchester United. However, he is still struggling to get as much game time as he would like, despite David Moyes rating him highly. The former Everton boss is ready to hand Chicharito a handsome pay rise in order to keep him at the club, according to Goal.com, and if the former Guadalajara man signs on then I think it could be one of the shrewdest signings completed by the strawberry-blonde manager.

He has only scored one league game this season, although he has played under 90 minutes of football so far, but he managed 10 goals last season in similar circumstances. With Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie at the club it is always going to be difficult to break into the set-up, but if there is anyone who can it'd surely be Hernandez.

He has had four shots this season, hitting the target with three, and looked dangerous whenever he has been lurking in the box. Should something go wrong with either Rooney or RVP then United will have only Danny Welbeck to call upon, and with his injury record and goal history then it could prove to be a disaster.
