Manchester City Eyeing Sergio Ramos Move, But Is He The Man Pellegrini Needs?

Manchester City have conceded 12 games this season in the Premier League - twice as many as Tottenham but one less than Manchester United, and Manuel Pellegrini apparently wants to solidify his backline. City's away form has been nothing short of atrocious and the man they see as the fix for that is Sergio Ramos, according to the Mirror. But is he the man they need?

Ramos is a player who can be rash in the tackle, but he is effective with it - he has completed 22 of the 25 that he has gone in for so far this season in La Liga. He has also won 45/61 of his headed duels, which shows just how domineering he is at the back.

Another positive for City is that he can knock it around the back. He has a pass completion of 89% and has played four key balls in his 11 appearances.

He is a flexible player who could also have an impact on the back four without even playing in it, as he has been deployed in defensive midfield on numerous occasion under new boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Ramos seems as though he would be the perfect signing. He has the experience, the flexibility and the statistics to suggest just that, and I for one would welcome the Spain international into the Premier League.
