5 Players Arsenal Should Loan Out In January

As Arsenal possess a big squad, they often leave some players on the bench or out of the first team more often than they feel they should be because of age and ability. Arsenal are used to sending many youngsters out on loan every season, but this season was different because they just seemed to sell every player that could've gone on loan. A mass exodus occured at Arsenal, leaving them with barely any players left or at least enough to send out on loan.  However, if the Gunners do recruit in January then these five players should be sent on loan to help develop their careers.

1. Emmanuel Frimpong

All the player seems to have going for him at the moment is his 'Dench' thing which is, quite frankly, just annoying most football fans. If he wants to progress as a player then he must leave this 'Dench' thing behind and go on loan to a club that will actually help him. Having already spent time on loan at Wolves before sustaining a long term injury, Frimpong know the benefits of such an experience.  During his time at Molineux, fans saw a side to Frimpong that they wanted to see: a passionate, hard tackling and talented midfielder. A new loan spell will hopefully give Arsenal fans another chance to see it.

2. Thomas Eisfled

The German was in fine form for Arsenal's youth team last season in terms of scoring goals, as he registered nine in 20 matches which is very good for an attacking midfielder. Again, he's been in and amongst the first team this season as well as the U21 side, scoring three goals in six appearances. He's an extremely talented player but he needs to gain experience at another Premier League side to really push on and tie down a place in the Gunners' first team.

3. Carl Jenkinson

He's been crying out for a loan ever since he burst onto the scene a couple of years ago but is yet to receive such an offer, despite the amount of clubs that have expressed an interest. However, with Bacary Sagna in fantastic form, Jenkinson hasn't really got the minutes he'd like to and his performances have suffered because of it. If Arsenal were to sign a new defender and he was able to fill in at right back then I'd like to see Jenkinson loaned out.

4. Yaya Sanogo

The Frenchman arrived promising so much but has delievered very little because of an injury that has kept him out for the majority of the season and which is still keeping him on the sidelines. With Olivier Giroud in good form, Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott returning from injury, the emergence of Chuba Akpom, the existence of Nicklas Bendtner and papers reporting that Arsenal are lining up a new striker, this could force Sanogo to find regular first team football elsewhere.

5. Nico Yenaris

It's been a while since Yennaris has been on loan, with him now approaching an awkward age at Arsenal where if you're not in the first team or at least in the picture then you will be asked to leave or sent out on loan. At 20 years of age, I'm surprised a follow-up loan spell has't occured in order for Arsenal scouts to see if he'll make it not.
