There have been a few standout players in the Premier League this season. Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey at Arsenal, Eden Hazard at Chelsea and Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez at Liverpool. But the one man who has sparkled for me is Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, the man who I consider the perfect man to complete Manchester United's midfield.

His progression has been held back by injury, but we are finally starting to see just how much of a talent the 19-year-old is.

Everton have lost just once this season and Barkley has been essential to their early success.

He is a strong player who has the energy and vigour to boss the middle of the park. He has a physical presence akin to Marouane Fellaini and a technique not far off Michael Carrick's, but he offers so much more than either of them when piling forward.

He has made nine key passes and scored twice in the league so far, as well as completing 86% of his passes.

He has won 10/15 of his tackles, 31/47 of his take ons and has had 17 shots on goal in his 11 appearances.
