Just who is Kyriakos Papadopoulos?

Many of you probably know who Papadopoulos is. The Greek international who plays at centre back for Schalke but is injured most of the time yet still very highly rated. But do most of you know really who he is? Or have you just heard of him? Fortunately I have had the pleasure of watching him play and I now know who he is and I believe that the interest from a number of top clubs around Europe is certainly deserved.

A fantastic defender who is still just 21 years old, Papadopoulos has only recently returned from a long-term injury which he sustained back in November last year. He returned just over a couple of weeks ago.

He's a brave player, the type to go in hard in any condition and makes sure he gets the ball or failing that, the player. He's very good in the air and also quick along the floor, in terms of the rate of knots he chases after attackers.

However, he does tend to lack concentration which sometimes results in needless goals being given away and also his injury record isn't pretty. On the other hand, you pay big money for his existing ability and his potential which is worth paying the big money for.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are just a few clubs who are said to be interested in him.
