5 Players Who Are Being Wasted At Manchester United This Season

Manchester United have had their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign this time round, and David Moyes needs to do something quickly to steady the ship. Here are five players who he is guilty of overlooking, in my opinion.

    1) Jonny Evans

The Irishman had a remarkable season last time out after establishing himself and Sir Alex Ferguson's first choice centre-back but this season has played just one game for the Red Devils.

Last season Evans scored three and created seven chances from defence, as well as winning 63% of his duels - 31/41 tackles and 51/88 headers - and averaged 11 defensive actions per game.

    2) Shinji Kagawa

I think every United fan will agree with me here. The Japan international scored six goals and created 19 chances last term in just 20 bit-part appearances, and also completed 90% of his passes.

His creativity levels a huge yet he's played just 45 minutes in the Premier League this time round. Mistake? Certainly, in my opinion.

    3) Wilfried Zaha

United are crying out for a winger who is willing to take players on and have a pop at goal. While Adnan Januzaj is hogging the limelight, Zaha isn't getting a look in, and considering his fine form for Crystal Palace last year and his positive performances  for England U21 it's a shock.

He looks likely to leave on loan in January.

    4) Javier Hernandez

After 10 goals in 22 bit-part appearances last season - the Mexican completed just four games - Hernandez has found himself on the bench once more. Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie are far ahead of him in the pecking order despite being one of the most natural finishers on the planet.

    5) Anderson

This may be a controversial choice, but I believe the Brazilian still has some talent left in him. He is a shadow of the player he once was for Porto and I believe it's because he's largely overlooked at Old Trafford. A move could get the juices flowing once again.

Anderson has completed 84% of his passes this season and won 3/3 tackles.

    Is Anderson Underrated?
