3 Players Who Are Being Wasted At Manchester City This Season

Big spenders Manchester City have constructed a team full of world class talent, not all of them can make the starting XI, some cant even make the match day squad.

Here are a list of players who I believe are wasting their own development and potential being at Manchester City:

    1) Edin Dzeko

The big Bosnian is some what of a fans favourite at the Etihad, but it must be both frustrating for the fans and the player himself that he finds himself in and out of the team, when he can boast a record of scoring 14 goals out of a possible 32 last season, that’s almost a goal every other game. An extremely prolific record if you consider 16 of those appearances were from the bench.

Dzeko should be starting matches every week and deserves that opportunity and unfortunately at the moment, that isn’t at City.

    2) Micah Richards

Micah Richards used to be one of Manchester City’s starting defenders, but now he finds himself desperate for minutes. The defender has so far not being able to accumulate any minutes in the league. Richards endured an unfortunate last season, where he saw his hopes of game time pestered by injury.

Zabaleta doesn’t look like losing his place any time soon, with Pellegrini opting for the experience of the Argentine, but Richards, who will be hopeful of still forcing his way into Roy Hodgson’s World Cup selections, needs first team football.

    3) Jack Rodwell

Although Rodwell is still only 22, the midfielder needs to be getting more minutes under his belt in order to realise his potential. This is a midfielder who looks odds on to eventually be a starting England player but all the time he is being left out, that’s just not going to happen.

This is not a very acurate column. Edin Dzeko is far from a fans favourite and City are way better with Negredo and Aguero. When Jovertic is fully fit he is also a much better bet than Dzeko. Dzeko is wasteful in front of goal, his record looks good until you look at chance conversion which is poor. He also is one paced and hands possession back to the opposition way to often. Negredo is a harder worker, better in the air, stronger, better team-player, and better finisher.
Rihards has been unlucky over the last 18 months and is a City legend. Displacing Zabaleta will be tough but he will get games. He is still Englands best right-back.
Jack Rodwell is a highest quality midfielder, but his poor amount of games played has been purely down to injury, not being "wasted" by not being picked. In fact he has been in the matchday squad for every game hes been available this season!

as peter suggests, this article is tosh.

Dzeko- has played and started plenty this season and has looked awful, plenty of city fans want rid of him in the Jan window.

Richards- Has only had one game since a long term injury

Rodwell- Same details, injury interrupted campaign.

The waste, was your time writing this article

Doesn't even put his name to the article, speaks volumes that.
