Teams should be scampering for Belhanda (Video)

Ask any member of the Newcastle United scouting team and they'll tell you that France is providing the current hotbed of talent across the continent. Having secured the signatures of the likes of Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Yoan Gouffran, the Magpies have continued their attempts to relocate to the south of France and rename themselves Nouveauchâteau.

However, after recruiting Yanga-Mbiwa from Montpellier, the Frenchman's former teammate is one that teams should be looking to secure, even if he is Moroccan. I'm referring to Younes Belhanda, the midfielder currently on international duty at the African Cup of Nations.

A move to Fenerbache may've collapsed earlier this month, but the Ligue Un side have made it well aware that he is available to for transfer multiple times during January, and relatively cheaply as well.

Belhanda is a player that would surely benefit any club in Europe, with his capability in the attacking third, not to mention his versatility, an asset to any team in need of bolstering their front line.

Tottenham Hotspur are thought to remain interested, regardless of the signing of Lewis Holtby on Monday, and any team that can convince the Morocco international to depart Montpellier for pastures new would have themselves a potent attacking threat at their disposal.
