FA Cup Fourth Round Betting Tips

The fourth round of the FA Cup arrives this evening and this weekend with plenty of potential for upsets all over the fixtures list.

Millwall are actually the 8/5 favourites with Bet365 to beat Aston Villa at home. Villa were of course dumped out of the League Cup by Bradford City at the semi-finals stage. It looks like a decent price considering Millwall are in good form and are in the pack of sides hunting a Championship play-off spot.

Sheffield United’s trip to Reading also looks like a good chance for an upset with the Blades 5/1 with Blue Square to defeat the Premier League strugglers. Reading are odds on in a few places on the market but Bradford city showed this week that anything is possible in cup football.

    FA Cup Sure Bets

Don’t be afraid to back Manchester City to win comfortably away at Stoke City at 4/5 with Bet365 and Betfred. Manchester City are on a fine run of form and don’t have too many injuries to worry about ahead of the match. Stoke of course have the home advantage but Roberto Mancini’s men should have enough to get over the line.

Manchester United take on Fulham in the late kick-off on Saturday as the 3/10 favourites with Betfred. United are likely to make a lot of changes for this match but they shouldn’t find it too difficult to secure a win and progression to the next stage of the tournament.

Liverpool will also make a number of changes for their match against Oldham Athletic on Sunday but they have enough experience and professionalism to get over the line. Liverpool are available at 1/4 with Bet365, Betfred and Blue Square to set up a potentially bigger fifth round encounter.

    FA Cup Long Shots

Aldershot Town are 10s with Bet365 to hold off Middlesbrough and secure a win which would turn out to be the upset of the round. They will take good support to the match with them and they have nothing to lose as all of the pressure will be on the Championship team.

Luton Town face a very exciting trip away to Norwich City. Leyton Orient showed a couple of seasons ago that solid tactics and a smash and grab job in attack can be enough to beat Norwich at Carrow Road. Luton are 10/1 with Blue Square to repeat Orient’s cup upset.

Leeds United have a great chance of beating Spurs and causing an upset. They will fancy their chances of beating any side at home and odds of 9/2 with Bet365 and Blue Square both look very tempting. Leeds defeated Manchester United in a similar tie a couple of seasons ago.
