    Pogba signs United deal

Midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly signed a new deal with Manchester United, all but quashing speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford.

The young Frenchman’s future with the Premier League champions had been uncertain after speculation suggested he was unwilling to extend his stay beyond the end of the season.

Juventus were believed to have secured the 18-year-old on a pre-contract ahead of a move to Italy over the summer.

Having been omitted from Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad for the recent home Europa League defeats to Ajax and Athletic Bilbao, further question marks were raised over his future.

However, the veteran tactician included Pogba in his 18-man squad for Sunday’s 2-0 home win over West Bromwich Albion and appeared as a second half substitute.

Following the win that sent the Red Devil’s to the summit of the Premier League, Ferguson confirmed that contract talks were ongoing with the former Le Havre trainee still making his mind up over a new deal.

And it is now believed the youngster has elected to continue his career with the Manchester giants after penning a new contract with the club.

The news will come as a huge relief to Ferguson, who is thought to be keen on seeing Pogba improve as a player with the club.
