    Dalglish dismisses Suarez talk

Liverpool manager Luis Suarez has laughed off speculation linking striker Luis Suarez with a move to Paris St. Germain.

Speaking to French television, Suarez has admitted he would be open to the possibility of linking up with compatriot Diego Lugano with the Ligue 1 giants.

PSG have been heavily linked with a move for the former Ajax ace in the summer, who recently returned from an eight-game ban having been found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra.

However, Dalglish has adopted a defensive stance following reports that PSG were lining up a move for the 25-year-old, highlighting the fact that Lugano himself hasn’t played much this season, saying: "How often has Lugano played this year?"

The Reds manager insists he will not be drawn into speculation, insisting the quotes pulled from the programme were focused more on Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and defender Lugano.

"I think you'll find [Edinson] Cavani was also mentioned and I think you'll find it was a television programme about Lugano," he continued.

"Anything you tell me I'm dismissing."

Rumours had been rife that club owner John W Henry was keen to ship Suarez out of the club after a string of controversies surrounding the striker. However, the club would be foolish to allow the front-man to leave, especially ahead of the new season following recent poor performances on the field.

His return to the starting XI after his eight-game ban may not have improved the clubs fortunes, despite the Carling Cup win last month, but he has the capability to forge something out of nothing and will be vital to Dalglish in the future should he look to put together a squad capable of challenging for the title.
