Ronaldo set to grace Old Trafford once again (Video)

In the tie of the round and the games everybody wants to see, Manchester United will take on Real Madrid.

With each club holding the record for league titles in their respective country, the contests between the two sides really are fitting to be held in the Champions League.  Manchester United have won the English first division 19 times, whilst Real Madrid have a massive 32 La Liga titles. The Spanish giants also boast a record nine European Cups, making the Red Devils’ three seem insignificant.  However, Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have the most recent victory in the competition, defeating Chelsea on penalties in the 2008 Champions League final.  United have also reached the final a further two times since Zinedine Zidane’s breathtaking volley against Bayer Leverkusen gave Real Madrid their last win in 2002.

After becoming a legend at Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo will face Manchester United for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the first competitive meeting between the sides in a decade.  His goal-scoring feats during his time with Los Blancos have been nothing short of incredible, with the forward continuing to battle Lionel Messi for the spotlight and the focus of world football.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains a hero to many United fans for playing a huge part in the club winning three consecutive Premier League titles, as well as an FA Cup, two League Cups and the Champions League.  His return to Manchester in March is sure to be an emotional occasion for him personally and, as only one team will progress on the night, he is guaranteed to be left with a bittersweet feeling no matter the result.
