    Top5 - Number 2: vs Stoke

As Aaron Lennon's jinking run comes to a standstill, the wee winger dinks the ball towards the back post, where Gareth Bale has cleverly made himself a bubble of space. As the ball drops from a reasonable height the temptation to take the strike first time was too much for the winger and he swung his foot at the ball.

The perfection in the timing is magnificent and as he lashes the ball back across goal, it was only ending up in one place. Not many players in the world would have the audacity to even attempt this strike, never mind pull it off with such ease.

    Top5 - Number 3: vs Norwich

You would have trouble finding a player who has hit the ground running as quickly as Gareth Bale in the Premier League since the turn of the year, and this goal from last month all but shows this.

The ball is rolled into Bale's path as he approaches the halfway line, and he explodes past the incoming challenge from his left, runs directly at the last defender leaving him anxious and worried when the shot is going to come, before weaving into the box and evading two sliding challenges to wallop the ball into the net.

    Take a bow.

    Top5 - Number 4: vs Scotland

The Welsh Wizard picks the ball up just inside the oppositions' half and almost instantly you can tell that there is only one thought on his mind. He powers through 2 sluggish defenders before unleashing a harrowing strike towards goal from an awkward angle, which ultimately ends up smashing the top corner of the net.

    Top5 - Number 5: vs Serbia

There have some been some incredible free kick takers to grace to the Premier League. David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba to name a few. However, There is a certain Spurs player who is looking to tussle the crown away from those previously mentioned and is vowing to become the greatest ever set piece taker in the league's history. Okay, he may have some way to go to reach that, but there is no doubting that he has the talent to do so.

In this clip, Bale spots the ball approximately 25-yards from goal, takes a few steps and powers his laces through the ball, creating an almighty strike which dips into the corner of the goal. Bale strikes across the ball with such power that the movement leave the goalkeeper stranded and with no chance in preventing the goal at all.

    Top5 - Number 1: Mohamed Diame

    Age: 25

    Position: Defensive Midfielder

    Current Club: West Ham

    Price Estimate: £3.5m

Why: Diame would be the perfect addition to the Arsenal squad, in my opinion. A forceful midfielder who has the ability to drive the rest of his teammates on to victory just with his leadership qualities.

He is magnificent at powering through opponents and his ball retention skills are something of a rarity, but most importantly for Arsenal is the textbook anchor-man. He acts as a shield in front of the defensive four and is able to dictate the game as he pleases. It has been well-documented that Diame has a clause in his trophy allowing sides to trigger that with a bid of £3.5m. A potential bargain.

    Top5 - Number 2: Stevan Jovetic

    Age: 23

    Position: Striker

    Current Club: Fiorentina

    Price Estimate: £20m

Why: Jovetic is highly sought after at the moment, and if Arsenal are the team that clinch his services then it will be somewhat of a coup considering the power of some of the sides offering him a deal.

The Montenegro international has set Serie A alight this term, scoring 11 goals to date and chipping in with four assists, and still only 23-years-old the forward has ridiculous amounts of potential. £20m could well prove to be a bargain if Arsene and the Gunners board splash the cash on this star.

    Top5 - Number 3: Micah Richards

    Age: 24

    Position: Right-back / Centre-back

    Current Club: Manchester City

    Price Estimate: £13m

Why: Bacary Sagna has all but packed his bags as he gets ready to leave the north London club, and Arsene Wenger has his eyes on a number of potential replacements. One man who would be a valuable asset to the Gunners back line would be Micah Richards. Let's be honest, Richards' career at City is looking bleak.

After missing out on a hefty amount of game time due to injury last season, Richards has dropped down the full-back pecking order at the Etihad and finds himself behind Pablo Zabaleta and summer signing Maicon. Richards, who is still out of action, is also a life-long Arsenal fan and is said to be desperate for some first team action when he returns from the sidelines - something which is unlikely at City.

    Top5 - Number 4: Fernando Amorebieta

    Age: 27

    Position: Centre-back

    Current Club: Athletic Bilbao

    Price Estimate: Free

Why: Arsenal are in desperate need of a plug to secure their leaky backline, and Amorebeita could well be the man to do so. The 27-year-old will leave Bilbao on a free transfer at the end of the season and it is likely that Arsenal will be one of the major contenders to claim his signature.

The defender is a big, sturdy unit who has over 250 appearances for the La Liga side as well as 8 caps for Venezuela.

    Top5 - Number 5: Victor Valdes

    Age: 31

    Position:  Goalkeeper

    Current Club: Barcelona

    Price Estimate: £10m

Why: Although currently number one Wojciech Szczesny is one of Arsenal's most reliable keepers in a long time, Arsene Wenger will surely make a goalkeeper a priority when the season comes to an end - if he is manager, that is.

Sloppy goals have cost Arsenal heavily this season and who better to turn to in a goalkeeper who has seen it all, done it all, and won a massive amount of silverware? Valdes has revealed that he is keen on leaving the Catalan giants at the end of the season with England said to be his preferred destination, and Barcelona are happy to let him leave for a fee of £10m.

Top5 - Number 1: Zinedine Zidane vs Bayern Munich

Ask anyone which is the greatest goal of all time, never mind the Champions League, and you are bound to get people arguing that it is this one. Zinedine Zidane is still rated as one of the greatest players in history, and rightly so.

It was moments of magic like this goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final of 2002. As Roberto Carlos loops the ball high into the clouds, Zidane strolls to the edge of the box and watches it all the way down and onto his foot. The ball explodes off his boot and almost rips the net on impact. What. A. Goal.
