Tom Cleverley

Tom Cleverley is a player who not only frustrates me to watch, but it also saddens me that he has not reached the potential that was hoped for him by so many spectators.

His loan appearances for the likes of Watford and Wigan were a real learning curve and it looked as though he would return to United with an added vigour, hunger and most importantly a base to grow him ability.

This hasn't happened though and I still don't know where he fits in at the club.

Yes he keeps the ball moving in the middle of the pitch and yes he adds some energy into what looks to be a sluggish midfield, but he certainly isn't cut out to play for a club aiming for the top and he won't prove to be a match winner either.

You could argue that he helped United to the title last season, but I honestly feel United need to add some real quality to the side and should sacrifice Cleverley in the process.
