Top10 - Number 5: Darren Bent (Aston Villa)

The former Ipswich, Charlton, Spurs and Sunderland forward is having a miserable time with Aston Villa at present, finding himself rock bottom of any sort of pecking order they have at Villa Park. For one reason or another, Paul Lambert is not a fan of the striker and has heavily relied upon Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann to maintain the Premier League survival.

In his bit-part campaign, Bent has scored two goals (both in September of last year) and has been forced to watch the action from a seat on the bench.

There is a goalscorer in him ready to pounce, but unfortunately the longer he is left to rust on the sidlelines at Villa the less chance there is that we will ever see that side of Darren Bent again. Should Cardiff make an offer in the summer then they can expect whippet-like speeds, a downpour of goals and someone who can create chances for teammates.
