This is another long shot, but should the Bluebirds hand out the £9m that this man is apparently valued at then it could prove to be a very wise decision indeed.

The little Spanish striker is wanted by Welsh rivals Swansea, but considering next season will be their third in the English topflight then this battle could turn a little one-sided.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals in La Liga this season for Celta Vigo and made a further 60 chances for his colleagues, a result of his determination and willingness to work the flanks.

His temperament could hinder a move to the Premier League, though, as he has been known to lash out at opponents. He received a straight red card in March for a head butt against fierce rivals Deportivo La Coruna.
