    Top10 - Number 6: Steven Gerrard

Stats for Liverpool: 156 goals in 618 games

Honours with Liverpool: 3 League Cups, 2 FA Cups,  Community Shields, 1 Champions League, 1 Uefa Cup and 1 Super Cup

Why: 'Mr Liverpool' as he is known in today's footballing world. Stevie G has produced year on year for the Reds and his loyalty has not gone unnoticed. He is still regarded as one of the greatest Englsih midfielders to ever have played the game and the Scousers are proud to say he is one of theirs.

Gerrard is known for his ability to smash a ball into the net from distance and also his ridiculous range of passing. He often bursts forward with the ball and is also pretty able in the tackle. It is likely that Gerrard will follow his good friend Jamie Carragher and finish his playing career at the club.

He is also the current captain of England, who he has played over 100 times for.

"There is nothing that this lad cannot do. He can run, he can pass, he can cross and, boy, he can shoot. He's such a clever player, with an instinctive understanding of the game.

When you get to know him, he's bright and humorous and he lives for the game. He's a thoroughly good professional. On the pitch, he provokes chances. He's aggressive, wins the ball, and creates forward movement by working hard and forcing the issue by driving at defenders at speed. He's a hell of a player, one of the best in the world." - Jamie Carragher
