    Top10 - Number 4: Craig Mackail-Smith (Brighton)

Craig Mackail-Smith became Brighton's record transfer when they splashed out a hefty £2.5m + add ons for the loppy-haired forward and they have seen a return of 20 goals so far, 11 of which have come in this season's Championship.

With a work-rate that makes you tired just watching him and the pace of someone 10-years his junior, the 28-year-old could be Norwich-bound to link up with long-time admirer Chris Hughton if an acceptable offer is made, despite Gus Poyet ruling out a switch.

Mackail-Smith has struggled to fit in with the passing style that Poyet has implemented at the Seagulls and his confidence has suffered as a result, but with a bit of added support to the front-line on the south-coast we could see his form reach his true capacity, which is enough to devastate any defence.
