Tottenham negotiate for Modric replacement

A busy end to the transfer window continues at Spurs as they are reportedly locked in negotiations to bring Porto's Joao Moutinho to the club.

Spurs are willing to pay 25 million euros for the Portuguese playmaker who they see as an ideal replacement for Luka Modric, who left for Real Madrid earlier this week. 

The sale of Modric has sparked a bit of a transfer frenzy at White Hart Lane with the signing of Moussa Dembele already sealed, while a deal for Marseille's Loic Remy is also understood to be in the pipe-line.

Moutinho is believed to want the switch from Porto to Spurs and Daniel Levy is desperate to convince the Portuguese club to sell before Friday's transfer deadline.
