Shock target for United left back role

A Dutch defender has revealed he is the shock transfer target of Manchester United.

Vitesse Arnhem's left back Alexander Buttner says he is on his way to Old Trafford in a deal worth a reported £3.9million.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of reported interest from Southampton, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers but now would appear to be on his way to Old Trafford.

Buttner told a regional TV station: “This really is a dream come true. It was all arranged very quickly and of course I am very delighted. Happily everything is coming to an end.”

United have yet to comment on the situation.
