Lambert an admirer of striking duo

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has spoken of his admiration for Jermain Defoe of Spurs and Kenwynne Jones of Stoke after being asked of his new club's constant links to the pair.

The Scottish manager said that even though the duo are "good players", Villa fans should hold their excitement as he remains unsure about any potential deal for either player.

"Whether they come in or not, we will have to wait and see but any manager will tell you, you are always going to look for players", said Lambert.
