Stimac confident of Modric move

Croatia manager Igor Stimac has called on Tottenham Daniel Levy to come good on his promises and finally allow Luka Modric to join Real Madrid.

Madrid have been chasing Spurs' 26 year old playmaker for most of the summer but have not yet reached the London club's £40 million asking price.

Stimac believes Levy told Modric he would let him leave if Madrid came calling but such a deal has yet to come to fruition, much to the frustration of the midfielder.

Stimac does still believe however that Modric, with four years remaining on his contract, will eventually join the Spanish champions this summer.
