Wenger denies deal for Real star

Arsene Wenger has dismissed reports that Arsenal have agreed a deal to bring in a Real Madrid midfielder on loan for next season.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Nuri Sahin who has failed to settle at Madrid, appearing just twice for the Spanish outfit last season.

Sahin is keen to stay in the Spanish capital but his manager Jose Mourinho has said it could be in his best interests to go out on loan.

But in the wake of his team's defeat to Manchester City out in Hong Kong, Wenger said: “We are not signing anybody at the moment- we are not close. In the future you never know.”
