Torres confident of Chelsea title challenge

Fernando Torres is targeting a tilt at the title with Chelsea next season and is confident that the Blues have as good a chance as anyone in the race.

Despite finishing points behind the top two in the Premier League last season, the Spanish striker believes the club can challenge next season.

Torres has just joined up with his Chelsea teammates on their pre-season tour of the USA after an extended break due to his exploits in EURO 2012.

Torres told his personal website: “I would live to win a Premier League. Hopefully it will happen this year., but for sure we will be challenging for it.”

He added: “In my opinion, the equality between the big English teams is at a peak.

"You just have to look at the way City sealed the title, at the last gasp, and how the team that won the Champions League finished sixth."
