    Newcastle return for Carroll

Brendan Rogers has admitted that Andy Carroll does not fit into his vision for the Anfield club's future but Carroll has other ideas and a move to Newcastle is imminent.

Andy Carroll is unwilling to leave Liverpool stating he will only consider a loan move away and not a permanent departure.

Carroll believes he has a future at Liverpool but had admitted to friends that it is unlikely he will start the season at the club. However, leaving Liverpool for good is not an option for the big striker.

He will only leave on a temporary basis, leaving the door open for a return to the club in the near future.

Liverpool, however, will not entertain the thought of a loan move and are willing to listen to offers for the former Newcastle forward.

Newcastle are reported to have submitted a season long loan with an option to buy.
