Gunners hoping to steal right-back

Arsenal are ready to steal Lille right-back Mathieu Debuchy from under the noses of Newcastle United.

Reports on Friday suggested the Magpies had agreed a deal with the Ligue 1 side for the signing of the France international.

However, the Gunners are now set to move for Debuchy as they prepare to strengthen the defence ahead of the new season.
