Papa set to preach at the Ethiad

Commentators all over the land might just be having nightmares about this one with The Daily Star reporting that Schalke mouthful Kyriakos Papadopoulos could be the latest target on their seemingly inevitable summer shopping spree for Manchester City.

The young Greek international is highly rated and given the success of signing Majita Nastasic Roberto Mancini might well be tempted into bringing in more youth to improve his sides already solid backline. Joleon Lescott and Kolo Toure are both rumoured to be on the way out, although that has been the case for the later in the past few seasons so we perhaps should take rumours of his exit with a pinch of salt.

Papadopoulos despite his young age has seemingly been endlessly talked up in recent years, although probably without mentioning his ton twisting name. Having completed two years in the Bundesliga City might just feel that he is now ready to take the step to the Premier League and join what is looking to be a new look side for next term. With any rumours at this time of year this could just be pie in the sky stuff but headline writers would most definitely love having the name Papadopoulos to work with next season.
