Madrid continue chase for City star

Real Madrid are planning on offering Manchester City Gonzalo Higuain or Karim Benzema to Manchester City in a part exchange deal with Sergio Aguero says The Daily Star.
The Spanish giants have been tracking Aguero for a while now but missed out on signing him when he moved to City in 2011 with Atletico Madrid refusing to sell him to their local rivals.
The Argentine international cost City a whopping £38m, but could now go for even more after proving himself in the Premier League. He has scored 43 goals for City in 79 appearances and was a major part of Roberto Mancini’s side’s Championship win lat season.
The Star plucks the figure of £45m seemingly randomly from the air but in all honesty it probably would take a bid of this size to persuade Mancini to part with his star striker. With Mario Balotelli back in Italy, Edin Dzeko never truly convincing in Enlgand and Carlos Tevez set to leave in the summer the Citizens will be looking short on strikers if Aguero were to leave.
The twist in this enthralling tale though is that apparently Aguero is becoming disillusioned with life in Manchester after the break-up of his marriage with Giannina Maradonna, Diego’s daughter.
Would a move to Madrid help the 24-year-old get over his heartbreak? Or would the pain of no longer playing with Joleon Lescott and James Milner be too much to bear?
