Chelsea and Real chase City star

No sooner has Yaya Toure admitted he could be leaving Manchester City this summer than The Sun has announced his most likely destinations.
Apparently Chelsea and Real Madrid are keen on the Ivorian and after he gave City a supposed ultimatum – stating that if he was not handed a new deal by Saturday, he would buy out his contract and leave this summer – and could offer Yaya the cash to pay the remainder of his deal.
Under FIFA rules players over the age of 28 are allowed to buy out their contracts if they are not offered a new one after three years at a club. It seems a little surprising that the Champions have not thought it wise to give the 29-year-old a new deal. He may be earning £220,000 a week already, but the midfielder is one of their most important players and would be a massive loss if he were to leave.
Toure has 2 years remaining on his current deal so would have to fork out £22m to leave Manchester.
Jose Mourinho is known to be a huge fan of Toure and would apparently love to add him to his Real Madrid side while Chelsea see him as the successor to Frank Lampard, which is a bit of an odd one really. Can anyone remember the last time they saw Frank pick the ball up from deep, use his pace to burst past one challenge, his strength to brush off the next before bulldozing his way into the box? No, me neither. Lampard may be a fine player but Toure will hardly be acting as his replacement. In fact the former Barca man should add much more to a Chelsea side who often lack steel from their two deeper lying midfielders.
