Marseille man coy on exit talk

A large proportion of transfer stories around this time of year are often met with cold water and if Sky Sports are to be believed then this could be the case with Nicolas N'Koulou's possible move to Arsenal. Earlier on in the week it was widely reported that N'Koulou was destined to be the man to save the clubs ailing defense, however the player has insisted that as yet nothing surrounding his future has been sorted.

Of course this means the Cameroonian might well still be available in the summer particularly given that Marseille will be looking to rebuild and generate funds, therefore the column inches he attracts are not likely to decline anytime soon. There is without doubt more to this one than putting two and two together for Arsenal do need defensive back up and N'koulou does tick most of Arsene Wengers boxes, although you can't help but feel a full back might not be his prime target. One reason for the Arsenal full back interest though might be that Bacary Sagna has been reported as this years token player to leave the Emirates.

Whilst N'koulou might have poured cold water on this story for now, it certainly looks like one that has enough mileage to keeping burning yet, particularly given that for all the Africans effots to play down a move he couldn't help but let slip he is a fan of Arsenal.
