London interest for French midfielder

The agent of Etienne Capoue claims the player had the attention of several English clubs during the January transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, the defensive midfielder could have been heading to the Premier League after Arsenal, Tottenham and Fulham all reportedly looked into signing him. Capoue currently plays for Toulouse, where he has spent his entire senior career so far after making his debut for the Ligue 1 side in 2007.
The 24-year-old made his debut for France in August last year and has since gone on to represent his country a further three times, scoring his first goal in a 3–1 World Cup qualifier win over Belarus at the Stade de France. Prior to breaking into the senior team, Capoue had a wealth of international experience with Les Bleus at various youth levels, captaining the under-21 side for a period in 2009.
His agent claims Toulouse were reluctant to sell the player last month despite interest from England and one of the world’s wealthiest clubs Paris Saint-Germain. The large fee demanded was believed to be the reason any deal was not completed, with Capoue valued highly by his current employers.
Last season saw the midfielder named in UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year. Not experiencing European football since 2010, could Capoue be tempted to leave Stadium Municipal de Toulouse for the first time?
