      Sakho commited to PSG

Mamadou Sakho's impressive form might be attracting the interest of Barcelona, but according to Sky Sports News the defender has no plans to sack off his loyalties to PSG and join the Catalan giants.

In recent years a move to Barca has been considered the pinnacle for any footballer given the already legendary status of the current team, however Sakho it seems is looking to part of a new legend in Paris.

The French money bags are showing no signs of their relentless assault on European and domestic dominance, and it only appears a matter of time before they do realise their goals - particularly if this seasons impressive returns are anything to go. The club currently sit top of the Ligue 1 and are seemingly well-set to win a first title since incredibly 1994, whilst they also look well set to reach the Champions League. And with an ever growing pool of talent things are only likely to get more rosy in the City of love.

So with that in mind its clear to see why Sakho might be keen to make a perhaps baffling move to not join Barcelona, given that at PSG he has the chance to play a starring role in what has the potential to be the most successful ever period for a French domestic club. If you had said a few years ago someone would turn down Barcelona to stay in Paris you would be probably asked to wash your mouth out, however Mohammed Sakho's desire to live out his dreams with the club shows just how astronomical their rise has been. For this is a club whose pulling power is now as strong as the most attractive of options.
