Hull the latest club to target Boyd

George Boyd's apparent lack of 20/20 vision might have put off Nottingham Forest, but Forest's loss could well turn out to be Hull's gain with TEAMtalk reporting that the club have made an offer to take the play maker on loan.

Poor old Boyd, a Peteborough legend has not exactly had the best couple of weeks in terms of transfers dealing given he has been rumoured around half the Championship in the closing week. Whilst he was denied a move to The City ground following the East Midlands club declaring that one of the leagues most creative players was not for them. As if this was not bad enough he was then subject to a barrage of calls by Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway, with the ex Blackpool boss seemingly looking to take things into his own hands.

Despite this Boyd played a leading role to help Posh see off high flying Leicester on Saturday, using that apparent poor vision to pick out Grant McCann who then fired home the winner. That failed move to Forest might just prove to be a blessing should a move to Hull come to fruition, given that The Tigers are firmly in the automatic promotion places mix. If that wasn't enough of an advantage on Forest then the fact they are not run in a car crash like manner should surely be enough to convince Boyd that he might have had a lucky escape.

Nevertheless you wouldn't blame Boyd for staying put this season at a club where he is loved and will not be tossed from pillar to post as he was in the Forest and Palace situations. Further to this he might jut fancy enhancing that already legendary like status at London Road and inspiring the club to what would be a quite terrific escape job, although that could yet be taken out out of his hands given Peterborough's financial situation.
