Could Lampard be heading to Italy?

In amongst the outrage that Chelsea don’t wish to offer a 34-year-old on sky high wages a new contract there has been some talk of where Frank Lampard’s next destination might be. We've seen suggestions of QPR, PSG, the MLS, Australia and even Manchester United but The Independent are now reporting another alternative for Super Frank, a move to Italy.
Apparently both Inter Milan and Lazio are interested in a move for the midfielder who has begun showing some of the goalscoring form which made him such a hit at the Bridge in the first place over recent weeks.
Inter are preparing to move on Wesley Sneijder and although the Dutchman has only featured in a handful of games all season they apparently see Lampard as a step towards replacing him. Meanwhile Lazio are just desperate for someone other than Miroslav Klose who can score a few goals.
If this reported interest is true then a move to either top four Italian side - both who are still playing in Europe - sounds much more appealing than a relegation scrap in West London with uncle ‘Arry and co. But then again a paid holiday to the Australian A-League doesn’t sound too bad either. Your call Lamps.
