We don’t understand the power-point your trying to make!

According to the former Burnley Chief Executive Paul Fletcher, Andre Villas-Boas applied for the vacant Burnley job in 2010; however the Lancashire club didn’t understand his methods which were given via Power-point!
His methods have always been slightly different to your stereo typical manager and Fletcher stated that he didn’t think his players would be able to understand his terms ‘The language and jargon of football gets worse by the day. Villas-Boas uses a lot of it. Would Burnley players have ever understood what he wanted if he'd told them to 'solidificate' or some of his other terms?’
As it turned out Burnley appointed the then recently sacked Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws and it’s fair to say he wasn’t a favourite with the Turf Moor faithful.
Villas-Boas hasn’t had the best of times since his move to management in England, but saying that he couldn’t have done worse than Laws!
