    Striker target of Championship clubs

Football is a strange old game where players can come and go out of fashion like the seasons; David Bentley is a fantastic example. Who knew he still played football?

But this rumour isn't about David Bentley, this is about a player with a similar in-and-out of the spotlight aspect to his career.

The focus of this rumour is Fraizer Campbell who was last seen being called up to the England squad as one of three strikers at the fag end of the Fabio Capello era.

The Sunderland striker, who is still only 24, has struggled to make an impact at Sunderland with injury problems dogging his career progress.

And now the Daily Mail is reporting that Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is believed to be open to loan moves for the striker.

The paper reports that Huddersfield and Campbell's former club Hull are in to get the striker on loan.
