Why the long face, Andy?

Andy Carroll pulled his hamstring mid-gallop last weekend during West Ham's game with Fulham, and looks to be out of action for up to six weeks, although doctors have announced that the striker is in a stable condition.
The Hammers have had a 'mare concerning the Geordie striker, coughing up an estimated £1m to secure his services for the season, only for Carroll to get injured on his debut.
The Injury is set to cost West Ham almost £740,000, unless the forward can make a speedy recovery.
However, fans of the London club are said to be delighted that the not-so-Italian Stallion is unable to play, as manager Sam Allardyce will have to refrain from forcing his team to hoof the ball up-field.
The West Ham medical team are reported to have given him a sugar cube in an attempt to make him better.
