How to replace Gerrard? Rodgers believes Spanish is the way!

It’s very rare a player with the technique and quality of Steven Gerrard will be produced by England, and that one again appears to be the case, as Brendan Rodgers appears to favour the Spanish route in attempting to replace the irreplaceable.

The recently appointed Liverpool manager is thought to be after either Isco of Malaga, who scored two delightful goals mid-week against Zenit in the Champions League or Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrara.

Both players still have their best years ahead of them, and Liverpool fans will be hoping that these years will be in front of the Kop at Anfield.

Let’s face it, either option is certainly more promising than Jordan Henderson!
