Queens Park raiders – Hoops plan yet another signing

Free spending Mark Hughes has been on his mobile again this week, this time to try to replace Andy Johnson whose dodgy knee looks to keep him out for the remainder of the season, and reports suggest that Manchester City’s John Guidetti is the man he wants.

Qpr have certainly lived by the motto: ‘we like who we buy and we buy who we like’ this summer, strengthening their squad with… Well, essentially another squad, but they feel like they need to bolster their front line further, as Djibril Cisse's temperament is likely to see him have a few early baths this season.

Guidetti was on loan at Dutch club Feyenoord last season where he helped himself to 20 goals in 23 games, and the Swede’s form has caught the beady eye of the former City manager Hughes.

R’s fans around the world have their fingers and toes crossed that Guidetti will be their man come January, as the alternative is Roque Santa Cruz. I pray for the people of Loftus Road that Santa has a bad Christmas this year and crosses himself off of Sparky’s list.
