It's a ring of Roses at the Stadium of Light

Danny Rose, he of the most one-hit of all one-hit wonders with his blockbuster volley against Arsenal for Tottenham in April 2010, wants to make his loan move to Sunderland permanent according to the Sunderland Echo.

Rose, who started out as an average left winger (bar that Arsenal goal) before becoming the typical left back of the norm: young, fast, a better attacker than a defender.

However, having struggled to break into the Tottenham first team, Rose took the opportunity to move to Wearside for the season. Martin O'Neil has always liked a challenge: after all he made the cumbersome pair of Richard Dunne and James Collins into a top Premier League central defensive partnership for a period of time. Under the Northern Irishman's stewardship, Rose's raw ability could come to fruition. After all, if Emmanuel Eboue can make it as a full back, then Rose certainly can!
