Silva lining for City

David Silva is set to extend his contract at Manchester City for the next five years. The Daily Mail reports that the Spaniard will take his earnings to over an eye-watering £200,000 a week. Many City fans have been shocked by the little man's poor performances so far this season, with Roberto Mancini even going as far as to drop him from the starting line up at the expense of the likes of Scott Sinclair, now that's a fall and a half!

However, now Silva's contract situation appears to finally be on the verge of resolving itself, perhaps the rather goblin-like Spaniard can begin to produce the devilish displays that wowed the nation last season and consign Sinclair to the bench.
