Kaboul with big future plans

Spurs defender Younes Kaboul sees no qualms with the forthcoming life without the departed Harry Redknapp as he waxes lyrical of the good times he is predicting for himself in his nearest North London future.

Kaboul, who was taken from Spurs to Portsmouth and then back again by the wheeling-dealing Redknapp, has interested the likes of Juventus and PSG in the past, but is adamant that his future lies in the lovely area of White Hart Lane despite the exit of his favoured manager.

In a report from Sky Sports, Kaboul had told French newspaper L'Equipe that he feels settled at Spurs and would be hugely surprised if he was to be jettisoned by the new Andre Villas-Boas era.

After an impressive campaign last season for Tottenham, the 26 year old versatile defender who screams utility more than a kitchen appliance, made it clear that he has four years remaining on his contract and is happy with everything currently going on with Villas-Boas' new reign.

Kaboul also told the French media that his mission is to make his way into the French squad under their own new boss Didier Deschamps after the hugely disappointing news of missing out on this summer's Euros despite his efforts helping Spurs to a fourth placed Premier League finish.

If not revealing enough with his L'Equipe interview, Kaboul also said that he had done a bit of tapping-up by speaking with fellow countryman Hugo Lloris over his potential move from Lyon to Spurs, with the defender saying he would like his French goalkeeper to follow up on numerous rumours and join the London club he is currently so happy with.
