    Bremen want Chelsea pair

The English language dictates that you can get a pair of many things; a pair of underpants, binoculars, shorts, goggles, pliers, shoes, ti..... okay, best end it there, but you get the message that getting things in pairs is quite a common occurrence, one that may be about to befall German club Werder Bremen who reportedly want to help themselves to a pair of Belgian footballers.

Talksport have emerged with reports that Bremen are interested in taking Chelsea'stwo young Belgians, Romelu Lakaku and Kevin De Bruyne, on a temporary deal as they seek to stake a claim for a first team spot at Stamford Bridge.

19 year old Lakaku has had a disappointing debut year, an understatement by anybody's measure, after his £18 million move from Anderlecht, making just 6 substitute appearances for the Champions League winners, but there is a feeling in SW6 that his muscly physique may see him replace the released Didier Drogba next season.

De Bruyne meanwhile, cost the Blues £7 million in January and also hasn't managed to break into Roberto Di Matteo's first team plans, so Bremen, whom Chelsea did business with back in April for the services of Marko Marin, look like they will be willing to provide the young Belgian with some vital first team experience in the Bundesliga.

Talksport understand Chelsea are adamant in their desire not to sell either player, but a temporary deal could be just what the doctor ordered for all involved.
