      Krul happy at Toon.

Newcastle fans will be happy to read today that goalkeeper Tim Krul has signed up to the bright Alan Pardew era at St James' Park by penning a new five year deal and in doing so, trashing any speculation that he may be leaving the club.

The 24 year old keeper is currently in Ukraine limbering up for the Netherlands' first game of their Euro 2012 campaign against Denmark tonight, but he took time out from squad preparations to sign the new five year deal that the BBC claim was agreed back in March.

A great season, where a series of fine keeping performances helped the Magpies achieve a fifth place finish saw the Dutchman's stock rise to the extent that Champions League winners Chelsea were said to be sniffing around in order for him to replace Petr Cech.

Yet Krul has signed on at Newcastle and claims he is more than happy in the North East, saying he is commited to the Pardew cause and wants to be a part of their assault on the Europa League.

Krul adamantly confirmed in quotes attributed to him by Sky Sports, that all talk of him leaving was in fact just that, mere old idle talk.

The agile keeper has played 62 times for Newcastle since being plucked from ADO Den Haag as a teenager back in 2005 and has become firmly rooted as first choice keeper in the North East, where he says Newcastle United have "everything".
