Biglia claims Arsenal contact.

After making the move to sign Lukas Podolski, Arsenal are on the hunt for more signings as their attention turns to Anderlecht defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia.
This is the same Arsenal remember that stalled their transfer business of last summer until they were beaten 8-2 by Manchester United a few weeks into the Premier League season and also have a reputation for struggling to compete for the biggest names in the transfer market.
It looks as if Arsene Wenger has got his priorities sorted this time out though, as he launches an array of business dealings, with the club also interested in French midfielder Yann M'Villa.
What will shock is not only Arsenal going in for Biglia weeks after getting Podolski, as claimed by the Argentine player himself in the Sun, but the fact they appear to have nosed ahead of Real Madrid, who have been claimed as long-term admirers by the Sun.
Biglia is in contract at Belgian club Anderlecht until 2015 but it looks like loyalty will not be an issue as the Argentine said that he plans to leave for a top European club, with contact occuring between his representatives and Arsenal. He also claimed to the Sun that Madrid, with Mourinho being a very keen fan of the player, have made contact.
Liverpool are also reportedly interested in the 26 year old Argentine midfielder who has recently captained Anderlecht to consecutive Belgian Pro League titles and is rated at £8 million.
However, Inside Spanish Football have reported through Madrid newspaper Marca that Biglia has said his dream is to play in Spain (cynically- for a sunnier climate and a lower tax-rate) which puts Madrid at the front of any running for the player who has 6 caps for Argentina.
