Brazilian clubs target Chelsea winger

The footballing immigration road from South America to Europe is well travelled for a fairly obvious reason.
As Europe has all the money in the world going for it and the most extensive scouting networks, young players from South America get hovered up and then they sink or swim; either way the buying club wins as they’ve either got a gem of a player on their hands or a relatively small fee has gone down the pan.
The route in the opposite direction is somewhat less well travelled but it could be getting a pair of feet metaphorically going down it if a report in the Sun today is correct.
The paper reports that Chelsea's Florent Malouda is in negotiations with Brazilian club Vasco da Gama over a move this summer with Fluminense also interested in the 32-year-old winger.
The paper believes that Malouda is surplus to requirements under Roberto Di Matteo at Chelsea and will join the exodus from Stamford Bridge this summer as long as the Brazilian clubs can put together a £3m offer for the Frenchman.
Malouda’s wife Florencia (making them Florent and Florencia which is just fantastic) hails from Brazil which would make the potential move more plausible.
