      Koren Linked With Reading

Hull City’s Robert Koren would seriously consider any offer from newly promoted Reading, claims the midfielder’s agent Zoran Krneta.

Slovenian international Koren scored 10 goals for The Tigers last season and was selected as Fan’s Player of the Year.

Reading boss Brian McDermott is a known admirer of Koren having made attempts to sign the midfielder six years ago from Norwegian side Lillestrom.

Premier League new boys Reading are looking to strengthen their squad as they return to the top flight. The promise of Premiership football at The Madjeski may tempt Koren who had a taste of the Premier League during his time with West Brom.

“I cannot tell you anything right now as it is early days, but there has been a long term admiration by Brian McDermott for Robert,” Krneta told the Hull Daily Mail.

“He tried 6 years ago to buy Robert, but he joined West Brom.”

“Robert is a player Brian knows well, but the circumstances were different back then.”

“I believe there is no player in the Championship who would not be attracted to the Premier League.”

“Obviously, if there was an offer from Reading then that would be something Robert would think over seriously.”
