      Kranjcar unsure of Modric stay

Niko Kranjcar is unsure as to whether compatriot and former team-mate Luka Modric will remain at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Croatia star is being linked with a move away from White Hart Lane after the club failed to secure Champions League football next season.

Modric came close to joining Chelsea last summer, only for chairman Daniel Levy to reject all offers for the Blues and insist he isn’t for sale.

Levy is again expected to take a similar stance on the 26-year-old this transfer window, and Kranjcar, who recently completed his move to Dynamo Kiev, is unsure as to whether he would be at the club next season.

"I don't know if he's staying, you'll have to ask him. But I'm happy with my decision," he said.

"It's an exciting move to a big club in that part of the world and one that offers me a chance to play week in week out and to play Champions League football, which is important."
