Hazard on his way to... Chelsea

Sometimes, even Sir Alex Ferguson doesn't get it all his own way. Although, it's not often that both Manchester clubs end up disappointed, but Eden 'the heartbreaker' Hazard, after flirting with both for months has today decided that his future is with Chelsea.

Yesterday Hazard tweeted that he had up his mind, he then waited a few hours before tweeting: 'I'm signing for the Champions League winner.'

Neither the 21 year old or the West London outfit confirmed that a deal had been agreed, although reports in France claim that the Belgian had agreed personal terms, with a weekly wage of around £100,000.

For a long time, Hazard had kept his suitors guessing but many thought that his destination would be Manchester, at either the Etihad or Old Trafford.

Chelsea's smash and grab Champions League win last week, though, saw them enter the race as the dark horses, a tag that could describe their path to European glory.

The Blues victory in Munich appears to have changed the game, and it is worthy of note that Hazard referred to them as the 'Champions League winner', rather than Chelsea.

Either a left winger or attacking mid fielder, Hazard said that the amount of minutes he would spend on the pitch would influence his decision, and City were rumoured to have said that they couldn't guarantee him first team football.

In a story reported by Football365, the Lille man said to France Football on his links with Chelsea: 'Now, yes. They won the Champions League so they will be back in that competition next season.

'It's important for me to play in that competition. Chelsea are a great team, with great players.'

Hazard could line up against England on Saturday, and has been rated at £32million. He scored 20 times in Ligue 1 last season.
