Maguire extends Pompey stay

Derby County and Portsmouth have agreed a deal that will keep Chris Maguire at Fratton Park for the rest of the season.

The Scotsman joined the South Coast outfit on March 9th and has been in fine form over recent weeks, scoring in Portsmouth's 2-2 derby draw with Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday.

Maguire will be unable to appear for Michael Appleton's men against his parent club on April 21st but will be a welcome addition to their side in Pompey's other matches, as they seek to avoid relegation to League 1. 

The former Aberdeen man has made 7 appearances for Portsmouth, scoring 3 goals.
